In The Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna talks about
1) Equidistance from happiness and sadness
2) Being free from worldly desires as the inner self is desire-less; and
3) Winning anger as it may lead to total destruction (2:55-57). A spiritually developed person is one who by improving the self, is unaffected by good or bad occurrences.
When The Bible talks about “He that has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls” (Proverbs 25:28) and Islamic literature talks of Jihad-al-Akbar, you see the same emphasis on improving the self.
But how does all his relate to science, today’s secular world, and is applicable to a you at workplace? The application comes from the need to permanently fixing the triggers and finding/ creating life meaning, as told in the book “Win Your Life with a Permanent Fix”.
In the show “Live and Local 4Lunch” hosted by Steve Neumann, on WINT Cleveland, OH,this subject was discussed.
